Hi Laura, Not sure if you received this last month, so am resending :)
Nothing better than People’s Stories
Why don’t you ask people about their stories?
• Tattoo’s
I have 2 swallows on my arm. I didn’t know whether to get them and was pondering it down by the park when a small group of swallows darted past. I had never seen swallows before , until then. I was only going to get one, but read that swallows pair for life. This gives me some belief that I might meet my Prince Charming one day. Swallows are magical to me too – they’re the bird I remember from a childhood story for being so compassionate and loving.
• Numbers- why is a number lucky to you….frowned upon in some cultures…a basis for new beginnings or the end
• Symbols
• Symbolism e.g. animals – seahorse, rabbits foot
• Spoken words – I used to attribute my winning streak to having ‘the luck of the Irish’….then my sister duly informed me that we actually were a smidgen Irish
Feathers – kaakahu (cloak – we use it for graduations), meaning behind certain feathers e.g. peacock feather = immortality & the eye = knowledge/seeing all (a love cure in feng shui), when feathers fall in your path is a sign of angels or something from above, adorned in clothing…something to do with or incorporating feathers When you wish upon….a star, birthday candle, fairies (from dandelions) Children’s magic – buttercups under chin = liking butter, tooth fairy, lucky first tooth, daisy chains Mythological creatures – could create your own or based upon peoples stories of their lucky animals & symbols? Potions & Spells – herbs, ingredients Folklaw

My 3 yr old daughter would love to see your interpretation of a spider in a web. Spiders in webs are so magical looking, and are entwined in magic, luck and belief!
— Anna J
Would love to see some portraits with magical expressions!
— Bridget
Millie is on a fairy buzz at the moment I’d love to see your interpretation of a woodland tinkerbell kind of creature..
— Alice MAstrovich
Hmmm I think belief in yourself is the key, then luck and magic only come when you have clear vision and take action. What about a close up painting of a hand holding a lucky stone? Such as a gratitude stone (google it), people might like to hold on to while they have faith/pray/are thankful.

I would like to see some kind of planet scene, constellations and galaxies, star gazing, moonscape…
