NZ Selenite
Oil on board : 400 X 200mm Selenite is named after the Greek goddess Selene, the goddess of the moon. It’s also called the Satin Spar, Maria Glass, or Desert Rose. The stone is known to have many mystical and healing properties including bringing peace, calm and balance. This stone was recovered from a site on the west coast of NZ, and hangs here, ethereal and yet familiar, over the bottom of the crown range to the back side of Cardrona.
