Laura Shallcrass is an award winning artist, illustrator and author based in the hills near Tāhuna, Queenstown. She is known for her intricately detailed, heavily symbolic work and rich visual storytelling, often blending natural and supernatural elements. Her mediums change often but she always comes back to oil for fine art and gouache or digital for illustration. Laura is originally from Te Whanganui a Tara where she studied graphic design and illustration before traveling the world and finding home in the South Island.
